For this week's #FOSSFriday I want to give a shout out to the TUI Git tool "tig".

Been using it for years and is really convenient for quickly reading through the Git history.

This week's #FOSSFriday project I want to share is Wails:

https://github.com/wailsapp/wails

Instead of using bloated Electron, you can write desktop applications with #GoLang for the backend and Web technologies of your choice for the frontend!

@Gina I’m so curious about the backstory to your question about villain-arcs and big boat Larry licensing. But in the interim, I’ll just say Hooray for https://www.postgresql.org/community/ #fossfriday

For this week's #FOSSFriday I'd like to share two excellent feedback tools, namely;

Fider: https://fider.io/ and a special mention to our friends at @LimeSurvey

What #FOSS project do you want people to know about?

Fider - Your go-to feature voting tool

Fider is your perfect feature voting and product feedback tool. It makes it easy to see which features your customers want the most.

For #FOSSfriday I would just like to add that, while I am not a programmer, I picked this instance when I first signed up because I felt like it was the most philosophically aligned with the way I see the world.

It always seemed strategically untenable to devolve all of our computing needs to giant private corporations. It also seemed that developing software for the commons was a quiet act of revolution.

So – I salute all of you!

#fossfriday question: best opensource alternative to GitHub? Extra gratitude for municipal government engagement and/org a well set up list of issues/volunteer opportunities!

@Gina

Let's make #FOSSfriday a weekly thing!

I'm currently excited about #OSMAnd which is an #OpenStreetMap Android app that is great for #bicycling navigation - way better than let's say Google Maps!

Hyprland - https://hypr.land

It looks to be a really awesome choice for great UX/DX on laptops. So quite excitet, even though it will be really challenging due to all the configuration in files needed to do.
