What vendor / Initiatives do you know / recommend when it comes to spy free hardware / firmware?

I am currently reading about the possibilities of Intel IME and I am shocked. That it is even allowed to produce and sell stuff like that is to put in plain speech - against human rights in my opinion.

Not an ITGuy just curious.

I want to know more. Do you have recommendations for me?
