This is just careless and completely tone-deaf. Vibecoding something so essential to their products instead of implementing proven automatisation tools and routines will eventually cause issues.

It's sad to see, but if this becomes the standard at #Adafruit it might be best to look for alternatives.

Did you ever create your IR dazzler hats?

I found an interesting paper on another method that might work without being so obvious. I ordered 5 higher powered LEDs and am playing with them to see what they do as far as modifying how my face appears on a camera.. I need to figure a method to keep them aimed.

I'm playing around with #esp32 and a #adafruit #sgp40 sensor for getting air quality readings. This one: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-sgp40/overview

Everything is mostly working fine, but my idea was to put the esp32 to deep sleep after each reading (the project should run on battery). Unfortunately the SGP40 seems to only give stable readings if it is constantly powered, so deep sleep doesn't work.

Is there a better sensor for that purpose?
