Intangible Arts’ first book is finally a reality. A difficult immersion into fractured language, …Influenza is a transcript of the IA twitter feed presented as a long narrative.

The twitter account was an experiment in hallucinatory art-text: in book form it reads like an abstract painting, with fragile bones of linear thought hiding in the muck. 50 numbered copies, 120pg trade softcover: https://intangiblearts.bandcamp.com

I'm practicing using BookWyrm by adding a book that you will want to consider putting on your reading list:

This Could Have Become Ramayan Chamar's Tale:
Two Anti-Novels

by Subimal Misra

The way I understand the term “antinovel” & how it differs from other forms of antiart is that it is literature which isn't only trying to push the limits of literature or form, but literature whose aim is to push the limits of and change the world.

@left_adjoint Thanks for that! the poetics of resistance !!

It's like Mark Fisher said, Capital operates to block, undermine, belittle, mock our creative efforts (I'm paraphrasing). Making something which defies normative forms is an act of protest.

Here's my hobby horse: we should be willing to learn and embrace new (poetic) forms. It takes some effort, but it's worth it.

#BookishAdvent day 2, #smallpress edition! “Where we go when all we were is gone” by Sequoia Nagamatau , from #BlackLawrencePress . This is a spectacular hybrid collection that embraces diversity of form to explore national and familial grief, monstrosity/fabulism, and the shifting boundaries between “poetry” and “prose”.
