#ESA's #RosalindFranklin will start digging holes in Mars some time after its 2028 launch, if everything goes according to the agency's newest plan. Which, by the way, depends on NASA providing space transportation from Earth to Mars for the #ExoMars Lander + Rosalind Franklin rover.

Its landing location in Oxia Planum is about 3000km from the Underhill and 1330km from DaVinci, both cities in #KSR's #MarsTrilogy #SciFi universe (see map).

The ExoMars Rosalind Franklin rover is 300 kilograms Mars exploration robot fitted with 2 meters drill to search for signs of life below the Red Planet's radiation-battered surface.
