Kyoto is CRAZY with tourists right now. We went to visit the family grave since we missed out last weekend. Cloudy, but got a couple of nice photos of cherry blossoms 🌸 📸
The new Nintendo mural is complete in the Hankyu underground passage between Karasuma and Kawaramachi stations! I popped down early before there were many commuters to take some photos. Symbol of Kyoto! 🎮📸

Gorgeous day in Kyoto. Warm, but not hot. No humidity. Still over 30 (and I am worried about the autumn leaves) but all in all I love this weather.
Blue skies, puffy clouds, and rooftops in Kyoto. It is cooler now, but still quite warm at just under 30°C. Had a lovely walk along the river and up the hill for お墓参り

Attached: 4 images Finally had a meal at Tōka Saikan, the Chinese restaurant in the Spanish Baroque building on Shijo bridge, built in 1926. This is where the oldest elevator in Japan is. Lovely blue sky today in Kyoto (Higashi Honganji)
All the lanterns are up for the Mantōe, Night of 10,000 Lanterns. But with the typhoon on the way we decided to make the Obon trip to the cemetery in the morning. It was 🥵! They covered lots of the big lower paper lanterns, but I imagine the square ones up top will be drenched tonight and tomorrow.
