A wonderful little interview dropped yesterday from the British Columbia Review. If you loved Rebecca Campbell's ARBOREALITY and THE OTHER SHORE, you'll love this insight into her writing and its connection to the Cowichan Valley, BC. Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/72xiymP8M4c

I was lucky to see JP Frary tell this story live, and I'm grateful that In a Nutshell released the recording on their podcast. This is a story for CSA survivors, but also anyone healing (everyone) and anyone who can feel how nature provides a safety net when our social environment fails.

I wasn't the only one who reached out after the show in gratitude for this story, and not the only one who described hearing it as a movie in my mind. Listening a second time, the same movie played out in more detail. The descriptions are poetic, metaphoric and layered, a kind of spiral into the themes of his life's journey toward healing relationships.
