Enrico Marini is an artist I’m very spilt on. On one hand he’s very skilled on a technical level and his colour work is legit S-teir stuff. But the more of his stuff I look at the more I just see the same square jawed dude over and over and the same busty seductive babe over and over and I just get kind of bored. He’s a very straight artist, is what I’m saying.
Ironically when he threw those out with his Joker design for Batman: The Dark Prince Charming he came up with my favourite look for the Joker. The exaggerated eye make up, the slightly more practical clothing while maintaining the outlandish colours. He is queer coded to hell, including straight up doing drag, and I’m not entirely sure how I fell about that but I also don’t care because this boy is gender goals aside from all the casual murder.
