It was too dark for pictures last night so I didn't get to show you #EmmaTheSheep's glow-up. A lot of that brown was... actually grey! She looks like a big floofly storm cloud and I know I'm going to have fun with this fleece.

I have no idea what I'm actually going to do with this fleece, but for now she's getting a nice hot bath.

Anyway... look at all the colours in this fleece! 4/

I said no, but my cat is Emma. "It's your fleece then!" Margaret said. It was one of her sheep so she proceeded to tell me all about Emma's temperament, about how she's very good natured and a good mother and how she likes to name all her sheep because then they know you care about them. Meanwhile, she was holding up the entire auction and I didn't care because Margaret is pretty delightful. 3/

Things were running slowly at the auction because Margaret decided that she needed to figure out the sheep's name for every single fleece she brought around, but that involved digging out a little name card out of the bottom of each bag of fleece. Then she wanted to try to match the sheep names to the names of the people in attendance.

She approached me with a big bag of sheepy-smelling fleece and asked "are you Emma?" 2/

Happy #ScouringSunday! Today I'm scouring #EmmaTheSheep, a Suffolk, North Country Cheviot, mixed bag sheep from Surrey, BC.

This fleece kind of called to me at auction. Not sure why. But it was already on my list when one of the auction helpers, Margaret, brought the bag of wool around for everyone to feel up. 1/
