the roamerOh no! Some 35 years ago, during my PhD studies at the English Cambridge, I spent half a year in the US Cambridge, accompanying my supervisor during his sabbatical. Happy memories of days spent roaming the musty aisles of the Barker library. Whole areas of thinking opened themselves up, my inner mind still sees the books that formed me on those Barker shelves. Hard to fathom that these libraries are no more. Such a loss.
