#Wrightbus has secured a key order for its new 6-metre Rightech electric #buses, which will operate in Kent as part of a demand-responsive service across #Ebbsfleet Garden City. These buses, which can charge at public EV bays or local depots, offer flexibility for both scheduled and on-demand routes. Go-Coach founder Austin Blackburn praised their performance and efficiency. The project is funded by National Highways and will complement Kent’s existing zero-emission Fastrack system. Camland and Roam, key infrastructure partners, highlighted the significance of integrated EV charging. Wrightbus, Europe’s fastest-growing bus maker, developed Rightech as a pure EV brand with strong aftersales support. CEO Jean-Marc Gales emphasised the role of electrification in decarbonising transport and boosting jobs. Roam’s UK-wide network will keep the fleet running efficiently, showcasing how infrastructure and innovation can drive green mobility.

Pivotal order for RIGHTECH buses
A pivotal order for the first Rightech buses - the EV brand launched by market-leading bus manufacturer Wrightbus at the start of the year - was announced today. The 6-metre Rightech buses will be heading to Kent, where they will work as part of a demand responsive public transport network across the flagship Ebbsfleet Garden City scheme.
