Electric scooter racing now... and let me tell you, electric scooters can get surprisingly zoomy. Also they have a push-to-pass mechanic ala IndyCar.
What we can see from the Crossnet game they're showing is, if square 4 can't hold the line, you can go a long while with no points going on the board.... but if square 4 can defend, they can run off and hide in a hurry. Nothing happens until it happens all at once.
Also it's in the Ocho subgenre of 'games invented so they can sell it to you at your local retailer'.

The way it works, there's four numbered squares, only the team in square 4 is able to accumulate points... and they even say, it makes for an obvious core strategy: if you're not in square 4, target square 4. (After every point, the team that lost the point comes off the court, and everyone else rotates toward square 4.)
