Openness begins with accessibility! We are grateful to @kathryn Briggs for translating the #ENOELToolkit into Irish to localise this resource for her community. She says: “By expanding the Toolkit into multiple languages, including Irish, we broaden its reach and ensure that even more educators and librarians across our community can access, use, and champion its guidance effectively.”

An ENOEL Toolkit: Open Education Benefits. Version 7

What is it? Welcome to the latest version of the Open Education Benefits Toolkit! It is a set of tools (slides, leaflets, and cards for social media) you are invited to use and adapt to advocate for Open Education. Scroll down to select and download the language version that best fits your contextual needs.  We also created playing cards and multiple gameplays to support brainstorming and workshop activities. They are available in English, but feel free to use other local language versions of the Toolkit to adapt to your local needs! Everything is in editable format, designed with reusers in mind, requiring minimal technical skills to adapt. So, please reuse! These resources have been prepared by The European Network of Open Education Librarians (ENOEL). The ENOEL Toolkit as a whole aims to help raise awareness of the importance of Open Education. It highlights the benefits of Open Education adoption for students, teachers, institutions, society, and librarians. Starting with version 4, we added the Benefits for Librarians and updated the Benefits for Students. We updated the References and added anecdotal evidence collected from our librarians about benefits that they have experienced, but that have not yet been analysed in any research paper, to our knowledge. If you are aware of research that has addressed the experiences reflected in our librarians’ anecdotal evidence, please reach out to us. In this version, you will find the most recent English Toolkit and translations into the following languages (in alphabetical order): Albanian Bosnian Croatian  Czech Danish Dutch French German Greek Irish Italian Kazakh Macedonian Montenegrin_Cyrillic Montenegrin_Latin Norwegian Polish Russian Serbian Slovak Spanish Swedish Turkish Ukrainian We aim to continue adding more language versions when feasible, to keep the Toolkit relevant in many local contexts. Meanwhile, you will still find the previous version in the following languages: Catalan Latvian All templates are under a CC BY licence, enabling you to use and adapt them to your specific needs. Depending on your circumstances, you may choose to use cards in your social campaigns, add one of the slides to your presentations, or even print out one or more leaflets and hang them on a wall of your local library. You can also adapt the gameplay and the playing cards to suit your contextual needs at best. We invite you to pick and choose, adapt and reuse! Help us raise awareness about the benefits of Open Education! How to use it? Each set contains different types of tools: 1. OE Benefits - ENOEL slides  2. OE Benefits - ENOEL leaflets  3. OE Benefits - ENOEL cards for social media use The second slide in each deck provides a detailed description of how the files are organised and how they might be used.  We’d love to hear how you have reused them. Please send us a message and let us know: oer@sparceurope.org
