Following on the #ElArish killings, 150 surrendered Egyptian soldiers were run over by tanks in the mountains of the #SinaiPeninsula and dumped in a mass grave. And in the #RasSedrMassacre, 52+ POWs were executed on #ThisDayInHistory in 1967, their mass grave found in June 2000.

The #ElArish POW massacre, #ThisDayInHistory in 1967, may be one of the worst #SixDayWar #WarCrimes. Survivors claim ~400 wounded Egyptian soldiers were buried alive near there. Israeli records show orders to kill prisoners of war. There were other such events... [see next post].

The #USSLibertyIncident was on #ThisDayInHistory in 1967. A US spy ship in international waters was strafed by four Israeli jets & hit by torpedo boats; 34 killed, 171 wounded. It may have been to cover up the impending #GolanHeights invasion or the #WarCrimes at nearby #ELArish.
