The sun has gone in #Duebendorf as the men's under23 line up for their World championships race. But no rain yet. Target time is 50mins, which should translate into six 8-minutes laps. This might well be the most open race of this year's #cyclocross worlds. Gage Hecht might be in for a surprise against the strong Dutch, Belgian, French and British riders - and the hometurf heroes Kuhn and Rouiller. French rider Benoist is the first leader in the race.
The Dutch national anthem #Wilhelmus sounds from the speakers at the #cyclocross World championships in #Duebendorf, Switzerland for a first time. Highly unlikely to be the only time this weekend, really. Plenty of spectators showing up despite the somewhat lofty ticket prices. Two more races today that I will inform about with toots. As for tomorrow Sunday, expect no toots as I'll be at the course with a VIP ticket and a cowbell.

The #cyclocross World championships in #Duebendorf have begun with the women's junior race. This will likely be a Dutch battle between Shirin van Anrooij and Puck Pieterse. I went to Duebendorf yesterday for the #gravel charity ride and had a look at the mostly flat course as well. The finish gate looks nice at dusk... #cycling
I have just registered for the charity #gravel ride that will be held on January 31st in #Duebendorf - on the day before the #cyclocross World championships kick off. According to rumours a certain Sven Nys might show up as well. Will put some more rubber on those #DTSwiss wheels of my #Roadlab PanacheTi for that. Plenty of space to go wider than the 30mm tires I'm using for all-road purposes.
