Installing #muOS on my RG40XXH was super easy. The devs don’t recommend using #BalenaEtcher for flashing the image to an SD card but I couldn’t figure out any of the programs they do recommend on Linux. Luckily, it seems like it did the job without issue.

I spent a bunch of time trying to get #SyncThing set up this morning since my PC wasn’t recognizing any of my handhelds. I tried opening up ports on my router and running a command to allow SyncThing through the #Linux firewall. Seems like the latter was the solution!

Now I just have to figure out the logistics of juggling PS1 save files between #RetroArch on my RG40XXH and #DuckStation on my Razer Edge. Things are looking promising though, as I just found out muOS has a DuckStation core on RetroArch, which may even get me better performance with #FinalFantasyIX!

The best PS1 emulator on Android is dead, and the fans killed it. 🎮

The full story is worse than you think.

DuckStation is dropping Android support, and the community might be why

DuckStation has ended Android support for good. The developer behind the popular PS1 emulator says community toxicity made it unsustainable.

Can someone please go back to the last OSS source of #DuckStation and #Fork it? The maintainer/developer is doing many things that are questionably legal at best. (I am not a Lawyer, but I'm pretty sure you need more than a text change to change the license lol)

Like Relicensing #GPLv3 to #CC-BY-NC-ND among other things.

They're also being actively hostile to people packaging their Incorrectly Licensed Open Source Software.

I would do it but I don't know the relevant programming languages... and Honestly the PS1 is kinda weak for me as a console lol.

I've installed the DuckStation PlayStation emulator on my old Linux PC and it's great revisiting some of the old games I used to play. I've ripped the discs of the few PS1 games I do have here but I've also downloaded some ISOs of some others I loved but don't have physical copies of (they must be at my parents' house somewhere...). I'd forgotten how much fun it is to shoot the helmets of the heads of Nazis in Medal Of Honor. I'd also forgotten the downright insanity of Bishi Bashi Special.

I'm finally old enough to be able to finish #Medievil. I just defeated the evil captain on the ghost ship with literally 1 single HP. 🤪 I'll finally know how the story ends. 🙂

@cwebber @grimmware

So far #Bazzite is working just fine but I still need to become familiar with it and its apps.
The important thing is that everything works.
I've just formatted my secondary HD using btrfs ( #Steam install its games only on Btrfs drives ) and I tried a small (in size) game and it's working fine.
#PCSX2 for PS2 games : OK
#DuckStation for PS games : OK

I've struggled a bit to make work #KaraFun but I found an old version that worked ( #Lutris ).
Any native alternatives on #linux ?
