@cyancqueak @Tregenza Another #TTRPG of fire-fighting may be of interest (if not seen already): "Fight Fire" in Fate Worlds Vol 1 for #FateRPG (by @jmstar and Leonard Balsera). It has custom skill list for fire-fighting - & consequences suffered by PCs (different from Fate Core) *never go away*

Also #Dramasystem supplement "Blood on the Snow" has short setting "Fire in the Heartland" of small-town Volunteer Fire Department (less fire-fighting mechanics, more interpersonal drama) by @GregStolze

Thanks for the art @grahamroewe

@Jwmuk The concept of "Paged" (literary characters escape the books in the British Library and become flatmates in North London) caught my imagination when I saw it in #Dramasystem supplement #BloodOnTheSnow. (Enjoying both #JasperFforde's #ThursdayNext books and Simon Pegg / Jessica Stevenson London-flat-share sitcom "Spaced" probably helps!) It's an idea I've since had ticking away to use (maybe with "British children's literature" spin) one day...

So sad I can't join this at Pelicon!

Want to amp up your DramaSystem game like a TV show? Try this: start a group scene, then ask an NPC to leave. This power move boosts emotional stakes, showing the character you’re talking to that they matter. Secrets and one-on-one moments fuel drama! 🎭 #TTRPG #DramaSystem #Hillfolk

Our #TTRPG group tried #Hillfolk tonight, using the #UnderHollowHills setting.

Not sure we can recommend it to folks. We all really enjoyed the characters we created and were having fun playin them, but the #DramaSystem mechanics left most of us cold. We tried to make it work, but I think it was a failed experiment. Too much focus on pushing story forward and a resolution system that was unnecessarily convoluted.

It needed one person pushing a story forward instead of us taking turns crafting a scene and trying to create drama. It felt artificial and forced.

As a thought exercise it might be interesting, but it wasn't the right system for our group.
