The Donor Participation Project is considering running a small in-person “mini-conference” as a test. The idea is to bring a number of Donor Participation Project speakers to a location for a small summit. By kindly answering these questions, it would help us determine the best path forward. The #DonorParticipationProject just crossed 2,500 members (!)

I started the #Donor Participation Project to create a safe space for #nonprofit #fundraisers to learn from each other and grow their organizations.

It’s niche and focused by design:

- monthly Lunch Analysis sessions to learn from industry experts and peers
- Small group discussions to learn and network with your peers

Keep an eye and an ear out for feedback from your constituents.

We have a fairly narrow definition of what "good" fundraising looks like.

Are your donors reacting as you'd expect them to?

Are they telling you they need different things?
How can you add more value to their lives in smart, efficient ways?

What would you do?

Mary Donor is an ideal donor on paper. She has given loyally for 14 years and volunteered on every committee at the nonprofit.

AND YET, the nonprofit’s leadership does not like her.

Mary often shares unconventional ideas at group meetings or point out deficiencies. They are hesitant to engage with her in ways that could grow the relationship and her giving.
