An historic (-ally large) settlement from #FoxNews to #Dominion, while significant, means nothing to me if the settlement has the traditional "no admission of wrongdoing" in it. Faux News did wrong and should be compelled to admit it, and should be compelled to spend just as much on-air time correcting the record as they spend promulgating lies. I understand Dominion's lawyers' obligation is to getting Dominion its settlement and not to justice, and that trials are risky, but if Fox can skip along with nothing to show for this than a comparatively modestly lighter wallet, the only lesson learned here is that you can be a willing participant in the dismantling of democracy if you have enough orders of magnitude in your bank account.
We've reached a point where I need a stronger word than "f-ck."
Part of the settlement really should have included #FauxNews being forced to repeatedly tell their viewers (during prime time and throughout the day, for days & weeks at a time) that they lied, & that the #2020Election was not rigged.
Allowing #FoxLiars to pay to lie doesn't teach them anything. They need pure humiliation, and their viewers need to hear the truth.
