Women make up more than half of the EUโs science and technology workforce.
According to Eurostat, women accounted for 52.5% of the 81.6 million people employed in science and technology in 2025. However, they remained underrepresented among scientists and engineers, making up 40.8% of the total.

This is interesting. I went to the IP/26/1187 press release page on the actual ec.europa.eu WWW site, and at the bottom of the page it had a rather different list for the Commission itself.
At the bottom of the DigitalEU Ambassador WWW page it also has a different list.
Although there are two *further* different lists elsewhere on the DigitalEU WWW site, that don't match their own common page footer, and none of the DigitalEU Ambassadors themselves seem to have cottoned on. (Looked at another way: No-one with a FediVerse presence has wanted/attempted/managed to become a DigitalEU Ambassador.)
