@belthesar The health risk is a clear deterrent, not surprised. “CDD” is a funny point. “He went to DevOpsDays and came back with a Kafka.” Veiled ad talks would irk me, too. We only had one clearly labelled sponsor talk yesterday. Talks only make up the morning at #DevOpsDaysBerlin anyway; the afternoon is OpenSpace with less risk of being spammed.

Interesting side note in the Q&A to Schlomo Shapiro's talk about using a central identity for authentication: Work with **smaller service providers** whom you can still contact directly (even via snail mail) instead of the big, anonymous ones, to escape the scenario "I can't regain access to my central identity because I lost access to my central identity".

I'm leaving today's first talk "Power structures. The fair advantage" unconvinced. The speaker framed her unsuccessful attempt at getting management support for her initiative as a matter of power. However, a bunch of details she mentioned make me think it might rather have been a typical communication failure. We discussed this topic recently on the Monospace Discord.
