Today's Facebook memory:
“We're halfway through Convention and I'm shattered, but praying with someone who received the Holy Spirit and spoke fluently in tongues tonight makes it all worthwhile.”
Exactly 12 years later I'm shattered at the end of a conference called Decult, thrilled to have learnt about the commonalities that bind me together with myriad other cult survivors, and renewed in my resolve to raise awareness and make cults a thing of the past.
Not one but two other JPs recognised me and came over to say hi at Decult Conference. Do all us ex-cultists have an overcommitment problem and end up becoming JPs?
This just in: Decult 2024 starts tomorrow morning. We're sold out, but if you want to follow the livestream or watch all 20 recorded sessions in your own time later, we have a last-minute discount code for you. Enter DECULT when you book your virtual ticket and you get 15% off and only pay NZ$85 (around 50 USD or Euro).
I just looked through the programme for Decult this weekend, decided which sessions to attend, and put them in my calendar. I'm very excited! In-person tickets are sold out but virtual tickets are still on sale. https://decult.net/programme/
