Tbh I kept hoping that Cusick's character had kidnapped Rube and Rube'd come to the rescue of the team but maybe it's better that he got his lights and ascended. A better ending would be the sister/mom drive away and George finds the manila envelope waiting for her at home, thus becoming the new team leader. Maybe that's what the post it rainfall was. She did smile and say "I'm so fucked."
