The #SAT may or may have some use for college admissions, but this #NYT article by #DavidLeonhardt is problematic. Ivy administrators are disingenuous when they say they are focused on ensuring that students can handle college-level work. When they admit 5% of applicants, they reject plenty who are fully capable. "Policy experts concluded #Democrats had not gone far enough to undo the 1980s revolution Ronald Reagan started -the one tht sparked the huge rise in inequality.

#Bidenomics is an ideology shift. We shouldn't lose sight of the bigger picture during the campaign back-forth which is tht the post-1980 economy failed to deliver the broad-based benefits Reagan & allies promised. Leonhardt is reporting testimony as fact, tagging on at the end of his "factual" report a statement that he's citing testimony.

So naturally he goes on to claim that the Hunter Biden story is important, because no less than his journalistic colleage Luke Broadwater says it's important.

This is shoddy journalism, a poor excuse for journalism, and all designed to give legs to a story that honest people know has little substance.

"When his father was vice president from 2009 to 2017, Hunter tried to create the impression that he could leverage his family connections to help his clients, as a former business partner has testified to Congress."

The "as a former business partner has testified" is buried, while the lede is the allegation that former partner made that Huntre Biden sought to leverage family connections to make money.

You can count on New York Times' David Leonhardt to try to give legs to the Hunter Biden story. Both-sidesisng is what Leonhardt does best, presenting as objective and disinterested and even "liberal" while validating and amplifying even the most outrageously bogus story from the political right.
