Terry Gilliam – „Time Bandits“ (1981)

(ARTE, Wh)

#DavidDaker in Holby City: A Clean Slate. Part 4. A tour de force speaking for life if watched altogether. Compassion to passion for life, a life lived, tenderness & healing.

"Your life doesn't always go down the path you expect, but somehow you stay on the path because otherwise you die."

You get so much from #actors liked. Daker isn't 1 I often focus on, but I have immense love for what he's done over the years. And him. Wish I could have told him sometime. 😭

Hallelujah, found at least some parts of David Daker's wonderful #HolbyCity appearance. Unfortunately "for when the time comes", teary as it makes me already again just thinking about it to write that.

Part 3 for a start.

"Redhead? She got me raring to go" was instant laughs straight off again. Oh, man, love this one. Plus had forgotten what a wonderfully positive old man he was in it. A good watch in general + if there have been losses in your life. 🙏 🖖

Holby City - A Clean Slate - (3) - 13.01.2009

I had hoped that #DavidDaker's wonderful #HolbyCity S11 ep13 "A Clean Slate" appearance or the scene where he talks about blueberries would still be online for when I'd want it for his passing, but I can already no longer find it on YT.

Episode 14 is there, but it's been at least a decade since I looked up the episode BEFORE that, hitting it taking legwork then already as well.

He was an old man muddled up on anaesthetics, talking of the past & blueberries, and I liked it & him.

RIP Travis.

My fear even on Twtr already was that I would not hear when #DavidDaker's eventual passing happens if it even trended there, because he's not that big a deal in the Who fandom compared to some other people.

If not for luck, I might not have heard about #StephenGreif now either, from the #Blakes7 side.

He was also a most wonderful Major Gerhard in S1 #DickTurpin, with major fuck-me-boots in the background of the Daker or Captain Spiker 4th pic here.

78 & 87 in years.

Richard Carpenter was also behind the 70s #DickTurpin series where I got my first contact with #DavidDaker & his Captain Spiker.

I didn't realize the brilliance of #ChristopherBenjamin's comedic skills until I saw it again in my adult years but Sir John Glutton is 1 of the highlights when seen altogether now.

Also forever facepalming at not connecting his being at a con re: Dr Who to his having been Glutton as well until after meeting him, or I'd have gushed at him.
