Reached Rank 37 in Carmageddon and Mission 8 in Dark Forces. I think those game compliment each other quite well in a weird way. Perfect for 20-30 minutes bursts.

I should probably write a blogpost soon about my experiences. And about my retrogaming month challenge in general. My Diablo blog was read by a lot of people which made me really super happy.

The original versions of Dark Forces and Outlaws have been delisted from Steam and GOG (along with Star Wars: Rebellion too for some reason).

This sucks. The remasters are great but the originals should be available too.

Also... why was Rebellion delisted? Bizarre.

RIP to William C. Dietz, author of the Dark Forces trilogy of novellas adapting the adventures of Kyle Katarn.

He was also known for writing one of the first Halo novels, Halo: The Flood.

Looks like the first game I'm going to finish in 2026 - not that I usually keep track - is going to be Star Wars Dark Forces Remastered. I've never played this deep into the Dark Forces and with just one level left out of 14, I might as well finish it off.
