The #DaddyDatingGame UI is basically complete, and we're also now at 167,236 words (12,717 dialogue blocks) and 410 menus

Annnd the planner feature for #DaddyDatingGame has also been UI-ed (before and after view)
Also updated the choice menus while in SMS mode to look like you're actually sending a response message (or not)

Text messaging is done for #DaddyDatingGame
It uses NVL mode but has a "memory" of previous conversations (by person/group) and shows a hint of who you're talking to in the background so it's less confusing when the game switches between convos

Been a productive few writing weeks: now at 156,321 words (11,870 dialogue blocks), written through game day 17 (including hooking up already-written scenes)

Had a coworking gamedev session with a friend today, and it was productive!
Got some more #DaddyDatingGame UI work done, and also got some writing done... day 14 is just over half done, now
Game's now at 122,405 words and 9395 dialogue blocks

All the music for #DaddyDatingGame is staged and... the character settings screen is nicer!
Obviously needs more UI polish and cleanup, but you can now toggle the guys' settings with a visual indication of what's changing
Also the screen is generated automatically per guy! It also obeys unlocks for achieving a happy ending for a guy, so I avoided having to copy-paste anything. And the same character definitions will be reused for the character profiles you can view in-game.
With tons of thanks to my artist Illuminate for separating out art layers for me to make all of this possible

Implemented smart crossfade today for #DaddyDatingGame... it'll now crossfade music and do nothing if the given track is already playing
This'll make music staging so much quicker... won't have to manually fadeout music, nor conditional everywhere to see if the music needs to change
Oh yeah, also got (all of?) the music for the game... not commissioning music (yet) this time around and seeing if I can make do with the stuff I have from Humble Bundle and Fanatical over the years... working out so far!

Bob is slightly regretting having 12 separate routes in #DaddyDatingGame because it's creating slightly ridiculous branching every time I even start a new game day and is dragging my brain in too many directions at once
But, uh... finally finished day 13, and we're now at 118,778 words (9107 dialogue blocks) so... progress?
