#DS920

(No me deshago de UnRAID, que conste 😁)

Moved my main #HomeServer from:

Asus PB60: i5-9400, 16GB RAM, 256GB internal NVMe SSD, 1TB external 2.5" SSD

To

Minisforum UN1265: i7-12650H, 64GB RAM, 4TB internal NVMe SSD, 2TB internal 2.5" SSD

Loving #Proxmox so far!

This home server doesn't run my NAS stuff, that's on a #Synology #DS920+

Synology DS920+ Final Impressions

After almost two years of having used a Synology DS920+ as my NAS and light home server for a few services, I thought it would be good to take a look back at how it had treated me these past two years. Those who may have read my first impressions

Been thinking for a few years now, and I think now the time has come to upgrade the #ds415 to a #ds920 or #ds923
Just recently modified my #Synology #DS920+ by replacing one HD (2TB to 3TB). A totally painless and effortless job. Deactivated the drive in Storage Manger, replaced the existing 2TB with a 3TB, then let the unit repair the degraded RAID.
The swap out took 10 minutes and the RAID repair was an overnight job.
Brilliant job.

So my current #NAS (#Synology #DS920+) has 36.7TB of usable storage.

I'm using 87% of that space, and I'm considering adding more.

Do I add a DX517 expansion unit?

Do I sell the DS920+ and move to a DS1821+ (or similar)?

Do I DIY build an additional NAS and use Unraid / TrueNAS?
