Creatives Club DC + Temperance Alley Garden meetup 6 - 9 pm this Thursday (9/14)!
Some folks will be playing music, so bring your instrument if you have one! Otherwise you're welcome to bring another project to work on. Feel free to bring picnic blankets, food, drinks, bug spray, etc.
The garden is located by the I St Metro stop in the alley between 12th & 13th and T & U St NW. See the second photo for an entrance map.

The central question that Trash Empire seeks to answer is 'How can we provide more nutritious food to people in need while creating less waste?'
Tuesday July 11 * 7pm * TICKETS Trash Empire - documentary screening followed by discussion with the filmmaker. Over the course of two years filmmaker William Reid spent only $5.50 on food. He survived off of food from the dumpster. Now he's on a mission to better understand what is going on
@schizanon In the DC area, the stereotype of nonprofit work is low-pay and lots of work because the people joined the org for the cause, not just for a paycheck, which is a sort of defacto donation of time and money to your employer. Nonprofits that take the opposite position that you do more good if you pay more to staff get hit with "high admin ratios" and are labeled inefficient or scams (and I'm sure some are)
Okay, fine, no Marine Corp Marathon this year. But if you count the two 1/2 marathons I'll be running, that like running a whole marathon. (Or 8 5ks, that a marathon, too)
The trick I guess is to sign up for the mailing list & then register the 1st day you can, scroll down half way.
