2 culdcept games in 1 year after a decade of nothing, we are so back

And I thought #Culdcept was dead! After 10 years, a new entry and remake of the first game, which never released here in the west, both arrive this July.

At the moment, from the publishers website I would conclude the remake on Switch only releases in Japan, while both Steam releases and the Switch/Switch 2 version of the new entry get a global release. Weird.

Looking forward to it, Revolt on the 3ds was... silly in how serious it took itself, only to clown around.

Im fascinated we seem to be getting both a classic Culdcept game localized, and a new Culdcept game here on our side of the world? The games have had a mixed history of getting localized, and it was kinda a footnote, blink-and-you-will-miss-it in the #NintendoDirect this morning.

It's a wierd fantasy boardgame, cardgame hybrid. Kinda like if MagicTheGathering and Monopoly had a baby. Really enjoyed the one off 3DS title we got in English a gen or two back. #Culdcept #Videogames #Steam #Nintendo

Took a bit longer than expected, but I am done with #culdcept revolts story mode. Who would have guessed we fought some god like entities at the end there, and that every problem could be solved with Cardgame-Monopoly?

As much as I liked the new cards in the 3rd part, I think the 2nd part was the better "story". They just sidelined all my favourite characters in 3, ok?

Also Old Willow best card, perhaps too good against AI as I never changed decks bc of it.

I'm currently playing #culdcept revolt on the #3ds, which is monopoly but with a card game thrown into it. The story makes about as much sense as any party game story, but: I just love cards.

My favourite characters so far are the Rival who is convinced he's the main character and the bot who upon falling behind says: 'using psychological warfare: grow old and die'.

Makes monopoly bareable.
