Updated CudaText 1.232.2.1 for 32bit and 64bit for Haiku, as always, these contain prebuild binaries/data from a build in Lazarus.
Lazarus itself is build from fpcupdeluxe.

Hatte gegen Ende letzten Jahres mal nach etwas (wirklich) Notepad++-ähnlichem unter Linux gesucht. Inzwischen bin ich meist mit CudaText unterwegs.
Am WE sprach ich aber noch mit jemand über das Thema und da ging es auch um einen Ersatz für das (bequeme aber doch recht behäbige) Visual Studio Code. Da wurde dann ecode (https://github.com/SpartanJ/ecode) genannt. Klingt wirklich gut.

CudaText for Haiku updated to 1.227.0.0, a good thing upstream developer is poking me now and then to check up on doing a new release for Haiku.
Since yesterday available for 64bit and 32bit.

Du kannst Notepad++ unter Linux mithilfe von #Wine betreiben, da es leider keine native Linux-Version gibt. Eine besonders einfache Möglichkeit ist die Installation über ein Snap-Paket, das Notepad++ zusammen mit Wine bereitstellt. Dieses Paket wird regelmäßig gepflegt und sorgt dafür, dass du die aktuellste Version von Notepad++ nutzen kannst, ohne dich selbst um die Wine-Konfiguration kümmern zu müssen. Falls du jedoch eine native Lösung bevorzugst, gibt es zahlreiche Alternativen, die speziell für Linux entwickelt wurden und viele ähnliche Funktionen bieten. Diese Editoren sind oft besser in das Linux-System integriert und laufen meist stabiler und performanter als eine Windows-Anwendung unter Wine. So kannst du je nach Bedarf entweder bei Notepad++ bleiben oder auf eine dieser nativen Alternativen umsteigen.

CudaText updated to 1.221.0.0 on Haiku, these are _bin packages created here with a setup for fpcupdeluxe (recently updated) -> Lazarus 3.8 (recently updated) -> cudatextup, grabbed latest checkout, and the sources for CudaText.
One of my favirit editors to keep track of, although last update was almost a year ago for the public :)

Lazarus (bin), 64bit, has been around for some time on Haiku, my main use is to keep up on building CudaText, with the new install it looks like we are still good.
Point the sources directory for fpc to: /boot/system/lib/fpc/3.2.2/src
Install gdb with: (in Terminal) "pkgman install cmd:gdb" (keep in mind that on 32bit the new gdb package isn't available), then in the first window for Lazarus point it to: /bin/gdb
