Currently in the process of converting to #Judaism through βOpenβ Orthodox queer-affirming auspices~ I encountered Judaism through an ex partner, lovely person, different wants out of life~ Been on this journey for 2 years now, but finally have a sponsoring rabbi and a cohort Iβm taking classes with. I go to a very close-knit Modern Orthodox small shul in my neighborhood. It feels like home to very purposefully choose it after feeling amiss for so long!
I'm delving into learning Hebrew, the texts, history, cooking, Yiddish literature, books.
Ex-Catholic, was raised that way, but left the church more than 10 years ago, and am comforted to reconnect with the Abrahamic G-d of my childhood, as well as connect with Jews and conversion students!
