#ComputerCrash

Still working on getting my new computer up to speed after my old laptop crashed.

Was able to reinstall #TurboTax 2024 & reload the tax file. Important because I have a huge tax loss carryover that I need to be able to continue to carryover. 😎

Reinstalled a copy of #Quicken Deluxe yesterday. Only negative about that is that I now have to pay a subscription to continue to use it but I've been using Quicken for decades & I know how it works.

Am willing to try something new if it's free but my search for a free Quicken alternative came up empty.

Still have to restore some #LibreOffice text & spreadsheet files. Have hard copies & could try to scan & OCR read them but there aren't many but will probablyjust retype them manually. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

tl/dr: it can deliver big performance speedups at modest area cost
