Alright, a preliminary report on No #Laptop Week is in order: I used the laptop. Exactly for:

• Replying to emails on #SRFI mailing lists (my phone is not exactly plaintext email friendly)

• Writing down blog ideas to preserve them in the repository

• Fixing the markup and typos in less-accessible posts

• Making two posts on here that required a laptop

• Watching 2 videos on #YouTube: Roll by aespa <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75baK7yq9WE> and MEOVV Hit ’Em Performance Video <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYq_Xzj8HUM>. The former because I needed to write a quote from it into my #Commonplace book, the latter because… I relapsed, okay? I won’t repeat that again!

Plans for when I turn my laptop on for real on Monday:

• Catch up on all the new #Kpop

• Contribute strictly typed procedures to Chibi #Scheme

• Implement my WIP SRFI for Chibi, Guile, and maybe some other implementation

• Transcribe the blog posts I wrote (and will write!) this week, back into the laptop and onto the blog

• Download the rest of my games and game extras from #GoG and delete my account from this Nazi platform

Commonplace book has been tweaked. Need to start building it out more. Will be adding systems for creativity, systems for play, more recipes and other things that I come across.

I am aiming for it to be my own personal search engine. Protection from link rot. Archiving useful things for me. Others can use it as well if they require so.

Not everything will be public mind, things I am working on, or are sensitive will be private and hidden.

The best part of reading is the line you want to show someone. Save the passage, get a card worth sharing, and a library takes shape while you do it.

Reading and keeping what you read should be one motion. You read the book, mark the passage, and the exact words are saved, not a vague memory of them.

Some books you finish. Some you keep arguing with for years. A commonplace book is where the lines you return to actually live.
