I felt an extreme amount of fomo at first but I engage in hobbies to relax and de-stress. I’m super uninterested in a game that is clearly using stress as a marketing tactic. I’ll use the money I set aside for it on a #WildsOfEldraine pre-release tournament instead or something.

My initial reaction is that, even if they didn’t try and artificially strangle the supply, Disney Collectors and Disney Collectable speculators were going to put extra pressure on the primary market supply and secondary market prices. The comment about wanting to support #FLGS communities lul’ed me into a false sense that they actually cared.

TLDR: Profoundly disappointed in the rollout for the Disney Lorecana. Probably won’t ever bother with it because f “fomo”.
The lead designer said over and over in interviews that they wanted to give #FLGS a week of “exclusivity” so they could foster local communities and competitive play… but every game store I’ve checked with “doesn’t have enough product” to do any kind of release tournament and everybody sold out of pre-orders weeks ago…
