Also in the exhibition, and I'm not sure whether this is more or less bizarre than the Habsburg Mutant, was this portrait of Prince Edward (later Edward VI) aged nine, emulating his father Henry VIII in both his stance, but also - and this is the bizarre bit - the small child sported an unfeasibly large #codpiece. #art #painting #artstodon
