That one where Jodie Foster speaks French. Cozy mystery that feels slight as you watch it but it's so diverting you don't mind the random places it goes (past life regression?) or that it feels like it should be a lot shorter. I would see another movie where Jodie Foster and Daniel Auteuil bumble around France and try to solve crimes. More of a character study that a coherent mystery. Thanks to J-Fo it feels slightly more than something you'd watch on Britbox on Saturday night. But only slightly. Irene Jacob doesn't even get a close up?

Poner de protagonista central al secundario más memorable de la primera película no es mala decisión cuando el personaje en verdad cae bien y el actor lo borda. Y el mostrar el proceso de la corrupción sobrenatural desde otra perspectiva es interesante… Pero… me temo que esos son los elementos más salvables de esto. La ejecución nunca cuaja del todo. Elementos que eran espeluznantes en la primera entrega pierden fuelle en esta por sobreexposición. En conjunto, la tensión y sensación constante de horror sobrenatural creciente e inevitable de su predecesora no están aquí, diluidas en una suerte de drama familiar
