I'd always known about #ChrisFoss; back in the 80s it was impossible to buy #SpaceOpera without his art. But I never realised that, like me, he is from #Guernsey. Then I came across "Surrealist Defences" in the island museum. I recognised it, both as Chris Foss, and because that is the #German observation tower at L'Erée (pron "leRAY"). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Saumarez.
