At least Steven calls Cyril out on not looking like a schoolboy but the whole thing is ridiculous. I've just checked and the actor was 46 at the time. Who thought a school boy with prank toys and "slippery powder" (whatever that is) was a good idea?#DoctorWho #CelestialToymaker
I have no idea how they managed to drag the idea of Steven and Dodo jumping across 14 triangles into a 15 minute plot. The core concept of childhood games could have been creepy but they each go on too long #DoctorWho #CelestialToymaker 337
Unfortunately the second half is just a couple of still images and a lot of text. The plot revolves around dancing which is very hard to pull off on a recon. I wish we could have seen Steven dancing (Peter Purves will really give anything a go) #DoctorWho #CelestialToymaker
This has to be one of the most surreal episodes of Doctor Who ever made. The first half involves hunting for a key in a kitchen with a couple of characters the Toymaker took from a story book. It goes on far too long but is strangely entertaining #DoctorWho #CelestialToymaker 334
As for the plot (or lack of), the Doctor is made invisible and mute, Steven and Dodo spend 25 minutes choosing a chair to sit in and the rest of the characters are humanized playing cards. Worst of all the episode is just slow #DoctorWho #CelestialToymaker
