Die Kosten des Autoverkehrs sind nicht nur Errichtung und Instandhaltung von Straßen, sondern auch Schäden durch Lärm, Abgase, Feinstaub, Umweltzerstörung usw.

Der Auto- und Lkw-Verkehr kostet aber vor allem Existenzen, Menschenleben.

Wie lange wollen wir das noch tolerieren?

We get a free newspaper every week (Delft op zondag) with a comparison column "back in the day -today" and I find it horrifying to imagine living in this beautiful city during car-centric times. #carfreecities

(What you can't see in the Delft today picture is that between the trees are, besides bike parking, tables and chairs from the local restaurants and pubs. Also, some cars with a permit can still drive there, mostly to deliver to the local shops in the morning)
