Saxophonist Camilla George is a London-based musician who has emerged as a key talent coming out of the city's thriving jazz scene. Her music incorporates elements of traditional African themes, and works them into the context of conventional jazz forms, mixing in some funk and soul, as opposed to, say, the boisterous Afrobeat of her fellow Londoners like Ezra Collective. She has also built a reputation as a composer and a band leader, having the good fortune to work with some top notch musicians, such as Sarah Tandy and Daniel Casimir, both of whom came out of the Tomorrow's Warriors youth program along with George.
