"Winter Storm Park Closures:

Big Basin Redwoods State Park, Portola Redwoods State Park, and Castle Rock State Park will be closed Wednesday, January 31 and Thursday, February 1 due to high winds and potential flooding caused by the forecasted winter storm. Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park will potentially be closed on these dates too, depending on the storm's impacts.

The parks will be evaluated for reopening on Friday, February 2. "

California's Big Basin Redwoods State Park is set to re-open on February 21st after repairs are completed. The park has been closed since January storms caused major damage to roads leading into the park, as well as toppling trees in the park.

Tomorrow, Dec 23rd, the renovated Meteor Trail will be re-opened at Big Basin Redwoods State Park. Also a mile of the Skyline To The Sea Trail will be opened from the H.Q. to the junction with the Meteor Trail.
