As Evelia and I have been getting more familiar with this place we have called home for the last few years, we have been getting more off the beaten path in our weekend explorations. And today we found that one of the hidden gems in the (California) Central Coast is the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park in Aptos.
Far less "developed" than some of the other parks in the area, it has a peace and tranquility that really spoke to me.
I honestly didn't want to leave.
