Reports are that at noon today there were 5000 people at #HandsOff #SantaCruz and 400 people in #Watsonville . That's about 2% of the total county population, and doesn't account for (a) small protests in small towns like the dozen people in #BoulderCreek or (b) people were coming and going from the larger events the whole time. I can't even guess how many in total actually participated, but regardless: Way To Go, #SCruz!

1) Police screwed up: not a crash of two trains! one long freight train derailed
2) "Pearl Parkway was closed near 48th and Arapahoe"
WTH. east-west Pearl Parkway is north of the railroad tracks, 48th and Arapahoe is on the south side. Maybe BPD PIO unfamiliar w/Boulder?
