I've decided that the violin is not for me. At least not right now, and it won't be unless and until my existing issues with the left side of my neck and my right shoulder get dealt with.

So:
Does anyone have a recommendation for me, for a cello? I want something that's going to hold up well enough for me to actually learn on, and then continue playing on; I want to get a decent amount of use out of it. I also don't want to spend a huge amount on my first one.

Rescheduled cello lesson was a bit challenging. Not the sight-reading of a brand new (to me) Strauss waltz, but the fact that there were no cars on the drive and no buses for ages.

So I had to zip-tie a rucksack to my cello case and ebike to my lesson instead. No zip-ties broke but I don't think I'll be trying that again.
