So that'll just leave #Bytestar to boop, which I can cope with

#Official #Mastodon App #Android

So I use personalDNS on both #Bytestar and #LuciferMorningstar and it's quite amazing to see, now I have them blocked, just how often each device tries to report their location to Google (via userl*cation.go*gleapis.com) and also how often the phone wants to send stuff for analysis (via ssl.go*gle-analytics.com), which I also block.

News: I've gone back to #OldFedilab 2.39 on #Bytestar, since the home timeline in #NewFedilab decided randomly to stop updating despite my force closing, clearing cache and so forth.

Got to be said, I still prefer OldFedilab, in spite of New Fedilab's recent 'improvements'.

Just updated to the new version of #Fedilab 3.5.1 on #ByteStar and apparently one icon in the App Drawer just isn't enough. I now have two!;*

I use the Nova Launcher Prime, on the tablet, just in case this is Launcher specific. Presumably it's custom app icon related.

Interesting day, #ByteStar got a system update.

Quite impressive, considering when I bought it it was marketed as having Android 10, got an update when I first turned it on, which took it to Android 11, and now after this update, it's running 12.

Meanwhile, in the real world, we currently have an Elena visiting (:*

The SM-T220 formerly known as #LiteStar / #Starlite will henceforth be tagged as #Bytestar

Glad that's sorted out (:*
