"Fräulein Stinnes und die Reise um die Welt" von Beate Maly ist eine wundervolle und gut recherchierte Romanbiografie um Clärenore Stinnes, die in den 20er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts mit einem Auto als erste Frau um die Welt fuhr. Von Frankfurt über den Balkan, durch die Türkei und Syrien nach Russland, China und dann durch Süd-, Mittel und Nordamerika über Frankreich zurück. Was für ein Abenteuer und dies gut erzählt.

Took advantage of all the Swedish books in the house that we rented and read quite a few. For a children's book Moominpappa's Memoirs was surprisingly challenging because of lots of unfamiliar words (and wordplay?). I didn't enjoy this one as much as Comet in Moominland, but it was still good to practice!

I don't often read biographies, but I flew through the Vincent van Gogh Atlas! The format is absolutely beautiful and I loved seeing how certain locations inspired the artist. While there were some aspects of his life that I was already familiar with, I still learned quite a bit, especially about his earlier life. Definitely a good recommendation if you want to learn more about Van Gogh in a casual manner.
