Friendly reminder that my sliding scale goes down to zero, no questions asked. I would really like to offer treatment to folks who have been affected by the recent raids or injured while protesting. I specialize in working with the bodily effects of old traumas and illnesses, but can provide support with recent traumas, as well. I am a manual therapist based in #Pasadena.
Info about my work is available at https://wilsonshook.com
Edit to add: I also speak basic Spanish
Exterior #bodywork wasn't in too bad shape (a few touch up repairs have been done over the years, there's usual stone chips but the #car had recently had a machine polish (I could tell by the residue left in odd corners!) and paint wasn't badly swirled, only needed a rinseless wash, a bit of hand polishing and a single stage machine polish on the doors and bonnets to get good results.
#Exhaust tips had been neglected, managed to make them a bit better with fine steel wool (the brillo stuff with soap) -- some chrome plating has flaked due to carbon being baked on still doesn't look too bad.
Also cleaned up inside of petrol tank flap (something I'm likely to be seeing rather a lot of as this car is a tad more thirsty than my last one!) #detailing #valeting
Finished & fulfilled with an 18 day training in #RadicalHonesty, #Playfight & #TheatreOfTheOppressed. Here is an interesting poster from the place that hosted us, it’s a synthesis of the book ‘Faire Justice’ by Elsa Deck Marsault, & has to do with the exit from the penal system in which interpersonal & structural violence occur, and illustrates a move to a transformational approach to our conflicts. I have a fresh newsletter up today. Lead photo is from last March, taken in Oakland during a fit of sunshowers we were having there for a few weeks. Shot on Kodak Tri-X film with a Pentax 6x7 medium format camera.
Pasting a few excerpts in the replies.

Folks, I could use a little boost if you don't mind. I recently relocated back to #Pasadena after a couple years in the Bay Area, and am working on getting my #ManualTherapy and #Bodywork practice back into a sustainable rhythm. Learn more, ask questions, and please share! Thank you!

I am a manual therapist specializing in Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy, and integrative therapeutic massage. I use gentle, targeted, osteopathic techniques to relieve restriction within and around the internal organs, brain, nervous system, and vasculature, restoring healthy movement and function. By assisting the body in working through its internalized responses to physical and emotional trauma, I prioritize the often neglected root causes of chronic injury, illness, structural imbalance, and dysfunction. Sessions incorporate a balance of visceral, cranial, and musculoskeletal work, with the goal of restoring your body’s ability to adapt and heal on its own.
