Thanks for your response, which confirms my gut feeling about the #author of the #book. 😀

As for the proper mode of thanking the giver, I agree that it's hard to think of something. I want to be #polite and respectful, and at the same time discourage similar gifts. I've told the giver 4 or 5 five times before that because of my complicated #medical status I can't take #health #advice except from professionals with the proper #BoardCertification.
