A shaky voice wanting to hear words of reassurance. “You didn’t see anybody?” she asks the two law-enforcement officers who were sent to her house after she had called 911 to report what she thought was an intruder.

A white man shot a Black kid in the head when he accidentally rang the doorbell of the wrong home, and then shot him again.
The man was taken to police station to make a statement and then released. Think about it: if a white kid was gunned down like that, would the word 'released' appear anywhere in the news?
